Welcome to The Rhoades School, a private elementary and middle school designed specifically to meet the needs of academically advanced children who are curious, creative and actively engaged in the learning process. We offer an educational experience of the highest quality, in a student-centered environment alive with intellectual vitality and thoughtful dialogue. Our instructional practices emphasize the development of students’ critical, analytical and logical thinking skills; at Rhoades, students are challenged to work collaboratively, communicate effectively and engage fully in their intellectual growth and personal development.
As it’s nearly impossible to fully capture the unique spirit and joyful energy of The Rhoades School in a website, we encourage you to visit our campus, meet students and teachers and thoroughly explore our extraordinary program. Beginning in late September, tours are scheduled Monday – Thursday mornings when school is in session; a campus tour lasts approximately 75 minutes and provides parents with an opportunity to watch the teaching process unfold – in the classrooms, on the playing field, in the labs and in the visual/performing arts' studios. To schedule a visit, please click the "request a tour" link on the left or contact Director of Admission Diane Seltzer at firstname.lastname@example.org or (760) 436.1102 x 302. Parents interested in applying to The Rhoades School are invited to click the icon below which will take them directly to Ravenna Solutions, our online application service provider. Through Ravenna Solutions, parents will fill out the preliminary application, submit the application fee and complete all supplemental forms. Grade level specific application steps and requirements are detailed on the Ravenna Solutions site.
The Rhoades’ admission process is designed to enable parents and children to become well acquainted with our school. In addition to joining us for a tour, we encourage you to attend an open house, an information session and all special events open to the public. And, as you learn about this remarkable place, we hope you will discover the multitude of ways in which we will inspire, engage, challenge and support your children, preparing them for success in secondary school and beyond.
Sincerely,Diane L. Seltzer, MA
