Each year students at The Rhoades School take the IOWA Tests
of Basic Skills, a reliable, nationally normed academic achievement
test. Achievement is assessed, and then reported by national percentile
scores for our students. Through percentiles, families can learn how
their students rank among other students in the same grade across the
country.
At the same time the school can learn its ranking nationally. The high
scores of Rhoades students in 2007 again rank the school itself
in the 99th percentile, or the top one percent of all schools in
the nation taking the IOWA Tests this year. Likewise, each grade level
at The Rhoades School ranks in the 99th percentile.
The average Rhoades student reading score is at the 95th percentile, and the
math score is at the 96th percentile.
Eighty-six percent of our students in grades 5-8 qualified for the Johns Hopkins
University and/or the UCI Talent Searches this year.
Rhoades students typically attend college preparatory high schools in the
community, including The Bishop's School, La Jolla Country Day, Francis Parker,
Cathedral High School, Canyon Crest High School, Torrey Pines High School, San Dieguito Academy,
