Athletics Home / Student Life / Athletics Building Character, Teamwork, & School Spirit The interscholastic athletic program at Rhoades consists of boys basketball, boys volleyball, girls basketball, girls volleyball, co-ed cross country, and co-ed track and field. Our program is dedicated to developing character, social growth, and physical skills. Sports complement the lessons learned in the classroom: competitive spirit combined with cooperation and teamwork, discipline combined with creativity and enthusiasm, and hard work combined with enjoyment. Fall Sports Co-ed Cross Country (5th–8th grade) September 10–Mid-November Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays at Lower School campus, 3:30 pm–4:45 pm. Inter-campus transportation will be provided for practices. Parents should pick up students from the Lower School campus. Parents must provide transportation to all off-campus meets. Girls Volleyball (5th–8th grade) September 10–Mid-November Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Lower School campus, 3:30 pm–4:45 pm. Students should be picked up at the Lower School campus at 4:45 pm. Inter-campus transportation will be provided for practices. Parents must provide transportation to all off-campus games. Winter Sports Boys Basketball (5th–8th grade) December 2–February 12 Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays at Lower School campus, 3:30 pm–4:45 pm. Inter-campus transportation will be provided for practices and home games. Parents should pick up students from the Lower School campus. Parents must provide transportation to all off-campus games. Spring Sports Co-Ed Track & Field (5th–8th grade) Dates March 3 – Late April First practice: 03/03/25 Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays at Lower School campus, 3:30 pm–4:45 pm.
